Wildlife Surveys and Monitoring

BIOME completes a wide variety of wildlife survey and monitoring projects including surveys for species listed under the Endangered Species Act. In addition to Recovery work, BIOME completes surveys for songbirds, raptors, small and large mammals, herpetofauna and fishes, both native and non-native sportfish.

Endangered Species Act Compliance

BIOME specializes in the completion of surveys, monitoring, and evaluations for projects involving Threatened & Endangered (T&E) species. Project evaluations and habitat assessments are completed for projects in all western states and species-specific surveys are completed for the following species that are permitted under Section 10 of the ESA:

  - Mexican Spotted Owl

  - Yellow-billed Cuckoo

  - Southwestern Willow Flycatcher

  - Chiricahua Leopard Frog

  - Spikedace & Loach Minnow

  - New Mexico Meadow Jumping Mouse

  - Northern Mexican and Narrow-headed Garter Snake

  - Lesser long-nosed Bat

  - Listed Plant Species

National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) Compliance and Other Environmental Regulation Compliance Projects

BIOME completes a wide variety of National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) compliance for projects throughout the western U.S. including Environmental Assessments (EA) and Impact Studies (EIS) and can complete Jurisdictional Waters Delineations and other Clean Water Act (CWA) regulation compliance. We can coordinate projects from planning and restoration to project implementation. We work closely with other small firms to provide additional support for detailed GIS analysis, National Historic Preservation Act compliance, Storm Water Pollution and Prevention (SWPP), habitat restoration, and construction planning.
